Setup Guides
Connect a Roblox community
Connect an eligible Roblox community to the correct Discord server in the Clan Labs setup journey.
Last updatedWhat this does
The connection creates a Clan Labs main community around one Roblox community and one Discord server. That relationship determines member data, Discord commands, settings, billing, and API access.
Prerequisites
- You are the Discord server owner.
- The correct Roblox account is verified and active in Clan Labs.
- The Discord server and Roblox community are not already configured elsewhere.
- An eligible plan option is available.
Setup steps
- Run
/setupin the intended Discord server and choose Set up in dashboard. - Select Main Community.
- Choose the Discord server. Reconnect Discord first if Clan Labs requests renewed authorisation.
- Search for the Roblox community by name or numeric ID.
- Select an enabled row; do not continue from a row marked Owner access required.
- Choose an eligible plan or active unbound subscription.
- Review the Discord server ID, Roblox Community ID, setup account, and plan.
- Confirm creation once.
Expected result
The success screen says the community is ready. It appears in the Clan Labs Communities list and opens to its management area.
Verify that it works
- Open the new community and confirm its Roblox name and icon.
- Run
/helpin the connected Discord server after bot activation. - Configure Roblox Open Cloud and run
/updatefor a test member. - Confirm the associated action appears in the community audit log.
Common errors
- Already connected — that Discord server is bound to another community.
- Owner access required — the active Discord or Roblox identity does not satisfy the relevant ownership check.
- No eligible Roblox communities — switch to the correct verified Roblox account and refresh.
- No active unbound subscription — purchase or free an eligible plan binding before continuing.
- Activation pending — allow up to five minutes when setup succeeded but commands are not active yet.
Security practices
- Match numeric IDs, not names alone.
- Never provide a Roblox password, cookie, or session token.
- Let only the Discord server owner confirm the final connection.
- Review the 30-day subscription binding lock before creation.
Next, connect Roblox Open Cloud. For a child community, use Set up divisions.
