Suspend and restore members

Apply temporary Roblox rank restrictions, review suspension state, and restore members safely in Clan Labs.

Last updated 3 September 2026

Suspensions are time-limited member restrictions. Clan Labs records the previous Roblox rank, moves the member to the configured suspended rank, and can restore the previous rank when the suspension expires.

Suspensions require a plan that includes the feature, a configured suspension rank, and working Roblox Open Cloud access.

Create a suspension

Use the member profile or /suspension create:

  1. Confirm the target’s Roblox account and current rank.
  2. Enter a duration. In Discord, values such as 12h, 1d, or 1w are accepted by the command.
  3. Add a concise reason of up to the limit shown in the form.
  4. Review and confirm the action.
  5. Check that the status is Active and that Roblox shows the configured suspended rank.

The default requirement is HICOM. A user cannot cancel their own suspension, and progression actions are blocked while an active suspension is in force.

Restore or cancel

An expired suspension is eligible for restoration to its recorded previous rank. Authorised staff can also use /suspension cancel or the dashboard action.

Clan Labs distinguishes outcomes:

  • Restored means the previous Roblox rank was put back.
  • Cancelled can mean the record was ended without restoring a previous rank when restoration is not the selected or safe outcome.

Read the confirmation carefully before proceeding. If the recorded previous rank is no longer appropriate, resolve the member’s intended rank according to community policy rather than repeatedly cancelling and recreating records.

Review suspension history

Use /suspension view or the dashboard to view one member or the community. Discord supports filters for all, active, cancelled, and restored records. The profile and audit log show the operational history available to your plan.

API v2 supports listing a member’s suspensions, creating one, restoring the active suspension, and cancelling it with members.suspensions.write.

Failure safety

Suspension state and Roblox rank must agree. If applying a suspension fails, Clan Labs reports whether the member was left on the previous rank, queued for reconciliation, or needs a manual check. Follow that message exactly and inspect Roblox before trying again.

Never submit the same action repeatedly after a timeout. The first request may have completed externally even if its response was interrupted.

Configure the feature in Settings → Suspensions. If Roblox changes fail, follow Rank change fails.
