Troubleshooting

The Discord server does not appear during setup

Restore an eligible server to the Clan Labs setup picker or understand why it is unavailable.

Last updated 3 September 2026

Symptom

The intended Discord server is absent from setup, appears under unavailable servers, or shows Owner access required or Already connected.

Most likely causes

  • You are not the Discord server owner. Clan Labs setup requires the owner, not merely an Administrator.
  • Discord was authorised before you joined or created the server and the cached list is stale.
  • The server is already connected to a Clan Labs community.
  • Discord temporarily could not return your servers.
  • You signed in with a different Discord account.

Diagnostic checks

  1. In Discord, open Server Settings → Members and confirm your account owns the server.
  2. Compare the signed-in Discord account with the Clan Labs account menu.
  3. Select the setup picker’s refresh or reconnect action.
  4. Check the unavailable list for the exact server and label.
  5. Ask the current owner whether Clan Labs is already connected elsewhere.

Resolution

Sign in as the Discord server owner, then refresh the authorised server list. Reauthorise Discord when Clan Labs requests it. If the server says Already connected, open its existing community rather than creating a duplicate; use the supported transfer workflow when the connection genuinely needs to move.

When to retry

Retry once after reconnecting Discord. For Discord servers are temporarily unavailable or Discord could not be refreshed, wait a few minutes and refresh once more.

Contact support

Contact Clan Labs support if the verified owner still cannot see an unconnected server after fresh Discord authorisation.

Include this information

Include the Discord server ID, your Discord user ID, the exact label or message, timestamp and time zone, browser, and whether the bot is installed. Do not include a Discord token.
