Getting Started

Add the Clan Labs Discord bot

Invite the official Clan Labs bot, approve its Discord permissions, and place its role correctly.

Last updated 3 September 2026

The bot provides verification, profile updates, staff commands, and configured Discord deliveries. You may connect the community before installing it, but bot-powered workflows stay unavailable until it joins the server.

Before you begin

Use the Discord server owner account or an account allowed to add applications. Confirm you are using the official invitation surfaced by the Clan Labs website, dashboard, or /invite command.

Invite the bot

  1. Open the official Clan Labs invite.
  2. Select the correct Discord server.
  3. Review and approve the requested permissions.
  4. Complete Discord’s confirmation.
  5. Return to the server and confirm Clan Labs appears in the member list.

The official invite requests the bot and application-command scopes. It also requests Administrator and the operational permissions used for roles, nicknames, channels, messages, embeds, attachments, mentions, external emoji, reactions, and invitations.

Position the bot role

Open Server Settings → Roles. Move the Clan Labs role above every rank, verification, group-bind, or qualification role it must assign or remove.

Discord prevents a bot from managing a role at or above its own highest role. Keep Clan Labs below owner-only and administrative roles that it should never manage.

Verify the result

In the Clan Labs setup server step, select the server and wait for the installation check. A successful check displays Clan Labs is installed and ready.

After the community is active, run /invite or /help to confirm application commands are available. If commands have not appeared immediately after installation, wait briefly and reopen Discord.

Review permission changes deliberately

Removing Administrator is an advanced Discord configuration. If your policy requires it, grant every permission needed by the enabled Clan Labs workflows and test roles, nicknames, messages, attachments, and events after each change.

Next, start setup with /setup.
