Understand community analytics

Analytics turns community activity into trend views for Owners and the Discord server owner. Access also depends on the active plan and trial state.

Select the community and open Analytics. Choose the available community or game view and date range. Use the labels and definitions shown beside each metric; different views can cover different data sources and time windows.

The Discord /analytics command opens analytics when the plan and trial checks pass. If it reports one of those restrictions, review the plan comparison instead of changing staff permissions.

• Compare equivalent periods instead of isolated totals.
• Treat a sudden change as a prompt to investigate events, membership, or configuration.
• Account for the plan’s data-retention window when comparing older periods.
• Use member and audit views for individual operational decisions; aggregate analytics is not a complete moderation record.

Premium retains analytics history for 90 days. Pro retains it for 365 days. Changing plans affects how long new records remain available.

Migrated legacy asset/analytics records retain a 365-day window measured from their original creation time. Normal subscription-tier changes do not shorten that migration allowance. It is not a fresh year from migration and does not extend every new Premium record.

A Super Owner can download a redacted community archive containing available asset logs. Check its redaction limits before relying on it for historical analysis; it is not a complete identity-preserving backup.

Community analytics requires Owner or Super Owner access as well as the relevant feature entitlement. Share exported or captured results only with staff who should see community operational data.

Clan Labs’ own optional product analytics is a separate privacy choice. In User Settings → Privacy, a user can choose whether to allow performance analytics; necessary technologies remain enabled. That preference does not enable or disable a community’s management analytics feature.

1. Confirm the correct community and date range.
2. Check that the active subscription includes analytics and is not restricted by trial state.
3. Confirm you are an Owner or the Discord server owner.
4. Allow newly collected activity time to appear.
5. If other Clan Labs data also fails, treat it as a temporary service problem and preserve the timestamp.
