Read a member profile
Understand the identity, progression, recognition, moderation, and activity shown on a Clan Labs member profile.
Last updatedA Clan Labs profile is the shared view of a person within one community. It helps staff make decisions without piecing together Roblox, Discord, and community records by hand.
Open a profile
In the dashboard, open Members, find the person, and select them. In Discord, use /profile with a Roblox username or Discord member where the command offers one. The result belongs to the selected community; the same person can have different ranks, progress, and permissions elsewhere.
What a profile can show
The exact sections depend on the community configuration and plan:
- Identity — Roblox username and user ID, Discord connection, and profile links.
- Membership — current Roblox group rank and community status.
- Progression — experience, quota progress, and automated-progression context.
- Recognition — medals and qualifications awarded in the community.
- Moderation — warnings, an active suspension, or blacklist status visible to authorised staff.
- History — relevant changes recorded in Clan Labs audit data.
Treat a profile as current operational context, not as proof that every external change has already propagated. Roblox and Discord updates can take a short time to appear.
Choose the correct Roblox account
Clan Labs supports more than one linked Roblox account. A person can choose which linked account they use for each community. If the profile shows the wrong Roblox member, ask them to open the Clan Labs verification flow and select the intended account for that community.
Do not ask a member for their password, Roblox cookie, Open Cloud secret, or Clan Labs API key. Account linking uses the supported sign-in and verification flow.
Take action from a profile
Only use controls that match your staff responsibility. Before confirming an action:
- Verify the Roblox user ID, especially where display names are similar.
- Check existing warnings, suspension state, rank, and progression where relevant.
- Use an accurate reason or description.
- Confirm the result and audit record.
If the control is absent or disabled, check the community plan, trial state, feature settings, and your permission level. Do not work around a permission check with a more powerful shared account.
Refresh Discord details
Use /update or Apps → Update User to apply configured automatic roles and nickname. The response reports Auto Roles and Nickname separately and can list roles added, removed, or failed. The Discord server owner’s nickname cannot be changed by a bot.
If the profile or Discord membership remains stale, follow Profile does not sync. For account selection, see Linked Roblox accounts.
