Roblox ownership cannot be confirmed
Confirm the correct Roblox owner identity before connecting a Clan Labs main community.
Last updatedSymptom
The selected Roblox community shows Owner access required, or Clan Labs will not continue past ownership confirmation.
Most likely causes
- The Roblox account selected in Clan Labs is not the group owner.
- A different linked Roblox account owns the group.
- Group ownership changed recently and Roblox data has not refreshed.
- You are setting up a main community where the supported division flow is appropriate.
- Roblox cannot currently confirm ownership.
Diagnostic checks
- Open the Roblox community page and verify the current owner.
- Compare its owner user ID with the account selected in Clan Labs.
- Review your linked accounts and select the owner account for this setup.
- Sign out of unintended Roblox sessions before repeating authentication.
- Refresh the group result and read its availability label.
Resolution
Complete verification for the Roblox owner account, then select it for the setup. The Discord server owner must also perform the Clan Labs setup. If the Roblox group is owned by a different legitimate account, that owner must complete the supported ownership step; an administrative rank is not equivalent to ownership.
When to retry
Retry after selecting the correct linked account. Following a recent Roblox ownership transfer, wait for Roblox’s public group data to show the new owner consistently before retrying.
Contact support
Contact Clan Labs support if Roblox publicly shows the selected user as owner but Clan Labs still refuses confirmation after a refresh.
Include this information
Include the Roblox community ID, owner user ID, Discord server ID, screenshot of the public ownership display, exact Clan Labs message, timestamp and time zone. Redact session information.
