Set up divisions
Attach another Roblox community below a Clan Labs main community using an eligible plan and division serial key.
Last updatedWhat this does
A division adds another Roblox community under a Clan Labs main community. The division has its own community operations and Discord connection while billing is inherited from the main community.
Prerequisites
- The main community is already configured.
- Its plan includes divisions; the implemented entitlement includes divisions on Premium and Pro.
- The division Roblox community is eligible and unconfigured.
- An unused division serial key or purchased serial with remaining activations is available.
- You own the Discord server chosen for the division setup.
Setup steps
- Open Communities → Set up community.
- Select Division.
- Choose an available Discord server for the division.
- Select the existing main community.
- If the main community is not yet on an eligible plan, follow the dashboard’s Set up as a main community or Purchase a subscription path first.
- Select the unconfigured Roblox community that will become the division.
- Enter a division serial key, or select a purchased serial with an unused activation.
- Validate the serial.
- Review the division, parent main community, Discord server, setup account, and verified access.
- Confirm creation.
Expected result
The division appears under the main community and can be opened from Clan Labs. Fully activated purchased serials no longer appear as selectable options.
Verify that it works
Open the division, confirm the parent relationship and Roblox ID, configure its Discord roles and Open Cloud as required, then run a safe member update in its Discord server.
Common errors
- Main community required or no eligible main appears — create or select the main community first.
- Purchase and bind a subscription first — the parent needs a compatible active plan.
- Owner access required — the active account cannot configure that Roblox or Discord resource.
- The serial is unavailable — it is invalid, fully activated, or not eligible for this setup.
- The previous Discord server cannot carry over — one server binds to one community; choose another available server.
Security practices
- Treat unused serial keys as purchase credentials and do not post them publicly.
- Verify both parent and division Community IDs on review.
- Configure permissions separately for the staff who operate the division.
- Remember that transferring the main community’s Discord server does not transfer divisions; they remain on their own servers.
Next, configure the division’s Discord permissions and Roblox Open Cloud.
